Unsupervised and Ready to Tailgate

LSU TUB Unsupervised Tailgate BusWhat originally started out as a group of friends going out, and having a good time, has turned into a tailgate phenomenon. This group of friends dubbed their nights out without their girlfriends as “Unsupervised,” which grew into not only a tailgating theme, but into a lifestyle. Originally, they were just a bunch of guys with a trailer and ice chest, but over time turned it into a website, softball team, flag football team, sand volleyball team, and of course, the crown jewel, “The Unsupervised Bus.” The tailgate crew has grown into one of the most well know tailgate groups on the LSU campus!

The “The Unsupervised Bus”, other wise known as “T.U.B.” started out as your ordinary 1982 Ford school bus that was later converted into one of the most extreme tailgating machines out there. The group bought the original bus for $600, and then completed an all-encompassing overhaul. Over $30,000 later, she is now officially considered an RV. “The Unsupervised Bus” extends an open invitation to anyone who wants to tailgate, and there is never a charge or membership fee. However, donations are appreciated, and they go primarily to support fuel, ice, and food for the week. With nearly 75-100 members who may show up any given week to tailgate, the core bulk of the work and preparations each week are shared by its members and donations from their loyal supporters.

“T.U.B.” sports upgrades such as a kegarator, digital touch screen juke box, in motion roaming satellite, flat screen televisions, bathroom, dual air conditioners, wrap around seating for 20 people, bench seats that convert into bunk beds for sleeping 10 people, train horn, “revolving safety pole,” and much more!

If you are going to be in the Baton Rouge area during a home game, contact the Unsupervised crew and drop on in for an ice-cold beer and some old school tailgating food! You can contact them at www.unsupervised.org.
