The Extreme Tailgating Bus by Imagi-Motive

Extreme Tailgating Bus

The word extreme gets tossed around a little too liberally these days. It’s been overused to the point where it’s meaning is totally lost. If you don’t believe me, just think back and remember the band Extreme.

Well, our good friends at Imagi-Motive are ready to bring back the true meaning of the word extreme with their Extreme Tailgating Bus. If you can find another bus with electric gull doors on the back of it, you’re getting a free keg on us. This bus has been redone from the ground up, and no expense was spared. Besides the gull doors, which provide open air grilling for its high tech kitchen, features include a two keg system with interior and exterior taps and a total of 3 giant flat screen TV’s.

There is no real way of doing this bus justice without a long list of its features along with some pictures, see the full story to check them out.

Country Roads, Take Me Home: WVU Tailgate Van

West Virginia Tailgate VanJohn Stimer, who is one of our readers, and a giant West Virginia Football fan, sent us this 1988 Ford E150 Econoline Conversion Tailgate Van. Even though it is well over 20 years old, there are only 88,000 miles on the original engine, and it was actually bought for $1,800, which is a steal with that many miles.

The Gater Tail - Portable Bar and Refreshment Stand

The Gator Tail is not just another all-in-one tailgating solution. This single axel trailer is an actual portable bar that can be hauled to any tailgate location. Features include an onboard grill with 5 burners, trays to ice down 5 cases of beer, 12V power, air compressor, and a 250-watt Pioneer surround sound system. The best part is that the unit can fit in your garage when not in use. You may remember that we featured the creators of this tailgate machine back before they won the 2009 PepsiMax Maxiumum Tailgating Gadget Award, and if you want to check more of their work, visit them at PortableEvents.com.

Tailgating with the Eye of the TIGER

LSU Tailgate VanThere is something about SEC Football and tailgating that just go so well together. And there is something about ex-Swat vans and tailgating that just seem to go hand-in-hand. Well, at least to the Beyl’s and their “ELLESYOU” tailgating crew. They took a 1977 Chevrolet P20 step van, which isn’t winning any LEED contests at 14 MPG and a top speed of 65 MPH, and turned it into a heckuva conversion project.

Phoenix Contact's Tailgating El Camino Proves "Party's in the Back"

El Camino TailgatePhoenix Contact takes promoting their business pretty seriously. In fact, they have fully restored and customized a 1970 El Camino, which displays a wide range of industrial components and connectors for IP67 applications. And if you don’t know what IP67 means, and we didn’t know either, you can check it out here. Introducing Appalachian State Football's Short Bus

Appalachian State Football Short BusDuring a Bristol NASCAR race in the fall of 2008, Rich Brown, an Appalachian State Alum and avid fan, were tailgating when they noticed all the modified tailgating school buses around them. They saw the potential of having hundreds of fans tailgating around a properly modified vehicle. Rich and his three buddies, who were psychology professors at Appalachian State, came up with the idea of equipping a short school bus into App State’s most fierce tailgating machine. After finding a bus on eBay, which was originally an ice cream short bus (great find!), Rich and his friends began work to modify the bus.

Cincinnati Bengals BatMan Cruising Before a Monday Night Game

A couple of things come to mind watching this: A) What was the base vehicle used for this project? B) This guy has to be freezing his "Bengals" off in that outfit in those mid-December games.

Tennessee Titans: Tailgating "First Class"

Tennessee Titans Tailgating BusIf owning and operating a tailgating vehicle is the equivalent of running a company, then The First Class Tailgaters, a tailgating group backing the Tennessee Titans, are the equivalent of a conglomerate. They aren’t just equipped with a simple tailgating van. They operate a tailgating van, trailer, mobile bar, rolling gadgets, and a container kitchen. Yes, they converted an old ocean-shipping container into a complete commercial kitchen.
